Below are the websites for the home warranty companies we service:

Fidelity Home Warranty:

How often should I change my filters?
- It is recommended that you change your throw away filters once a month.
- Washable filters should be cleaned once a month also.

What should I do before calling for service?
your thermostat is set for heating or cooling
-your filter is clean
-your circuit breaker is in the ON position and not tripped
-your load controller has not turned off your unit

How often should I schedule a maintenance call on my units?
-Schedule routine service in the spring and fall
-Having your unit serviced twice a year can prevent possible failure during peak usage.

What does SEER mean?
-Air conditioning systems are labeled with a SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) number to measure the efficiency of the unit.  The higher the SEER number, the more efficient the unit is.

Why does my heat pump go into a defrost mode?
-Heat pumps will automatically and periodically (as a normal function) defrost the outdoor coil.  Do not turn your unit off when the unit starts to circulate cooler air, as this could prolong the outdoor coil from defrosting.   It is normal for water to be emitted during this process.  (This process mostly occurs during cooler times of the day and high humidity conditions).

What are the benefits of a programmable thermostat?
A programmable thermostat will help with energy savings by programming your unit to revolve around your schedule.  For example:  You leave for work at 8:00am and return home at 5:00 pm, you can have your unit programmed to a higher temperature while you are gone.  The thermostat can be set to have the unit cool down your home before you get there.
